Commissioned by “Doctor Faustus”, this performance features the Talea Ensemble. The work tries to capture an old form of animation where the viewer peers inside a spinning wheel to see a contained series of moving images. Much of my work deals with the idea of stillness in motion and vice versa. This is an important “stepping stone” along that creative path.
